The Trojan Advocates for Political Progress are a student activist group at the University of Southern California that seeks to engage with the student body and connect them to local, state, and national politics through issue-oriented activism focusing on specific policies.  These initiatives include voter outreach through endorsing candidates and working with their campaigns and educational initiatives, such as town halls and forums. We are not affiliated with any specific political party, but rather seek to guide our activism by adhering to a few moral principles that we view as integral to our stated goal of working for political progress.  For TAPP, progress means that we seek to create a more equal, fair, inclusive, and sustainable society both through government policy at every level and community-building efforts within our school and our city.  We believe that by adhering to these moral precepts, rather than to party dogma, we can better achieve our goals of working towards a society that is better for all people and our planet.

Equality, fairness, inclusivity, and sustainability are all worthy standards to which we can hold ourselves and our leaders, and as such, with the consent of the club membership, we are willing to endorse candidates, policies, and movements that adhere to these same principles.
